Adequate home insurance should be a first priority. We can advise on cover requirements and obtain very competitive quotations from leading insurance companies. Through our arrangements with a leading local insurance broker with offices in Mijas and Marbella, in the event of a claim, we are able to liaise with the insurers on your behalf in the investigation and settlement of the claim. BILL PAYMENTS
Periodic payments to local service companies, to the Town Hall and for your community fees , etc, are best set up though your bank account. If you prefer, we are able to monitor and take care of these on your behalf, , plus the inevitable one-off payments for specialist maintenance services or repairs, providing we are holding funds on your Suncoaster Owner Account.
A word of caution if you set up payments through your bank – ensure your account balance is sufficient and regularly topped up to avoid failed payments and disconnection of services.
TAX ADVICE
As in every other country tax regulations and requirements are ever changing. Non-resident owners come under a different tax regime and it is important you understand the reporting requirements . These vary for rental and non-rental owners and the goal posts are often being moved so it is important to ensure your Spanish taxation knowledge is up to date!
We can introduce you to independent accountants/tax advisers and liaise with them to ensure your tax affairs are professionally handled and returns are submitted to comply with current taxation requirements.
